1/15/09 Dinner Party
Tonight was a great night. It was one of the coldest days of the year and our theme Warm and Hearty fit the bill nicely.
We served the following
Pair #1: Il Forteto Pecorino Toscano with Hennepin Belgian Ale
Pair #2: Willow Maid Dry Jack with Drop Top Amber
Soup #1: Smokey Potato Soup with Bacon Puree (also a vegetarian potato soup)
Sandwich #1: Havarti Jalapeno with Slow Roasted Beef
Sandwich #2: Havarti Jalapeno with Slow Roasted Tofu
Sandwich #3: Mascarpone, Apple, and Cinnamon Streusel on Puff Pastry
Further, we offered our guests Banrock Station Chardonnay and Bota Box Shiraz as table wines throughout the course of the evening.
